Imago Dei Photographer Allegra Villela will be opening her first ever show at the Sunnyside Family Swap Shop Co-op on July 5th. Come check out her work and enjoy the festivities at an open house this weekend from 9am - 4pm Sat. The Sunnyside Swap Shop Co-op July open house is a summer celebration with the grand opening of our shared outdoor play yard, a fabulous art show and a wonderful puppet show on our main stage.
Here are the details so you can make plans to make the best of the day:
Open house hours: Saturday, July 5th 9am - 4pm
Location:Sunnyside Centenary United Methodist Church at 3520 SE Yamhill St
Refreshments: Ice cold lemonade and sweet and salty treats will be
served under the shade of the back yard tree all day long. Enough
food will be purchased with co-op funds so that there is something for
everyone. To add to the spread and spread out the fun, please bring a
sweet or savory treat to share (berries, chips, etc.) Any type of
finger food is welcome.
Morning entertainment: Any time there is enough of an audience from 10
- noon, Dena Wilder will be taking the stage to showcase what our
morning music time and Family Folk Music nights are all about.
Afternoon entertainment: I understand Penny's Puppets is a popular
and well enjoyed phenomenon. She will be on our main stage in the
Swap Shop from 3-4 doing a show called "Donkey Saves the Day."
Art all day: Co-op member Chris Dennis (whose art we have been
enjoying above the great room couch) will be showcasing the inspiring
photography of Alegra Villella for our first Swap Shop art show. She
is just 16 years old and already a stunning talent. Her photographs
will be for sale with a portion of the proceeds going to the Sunnyside
United Methodist Church building fund to help support the maintenance
and improvements of this great building we are all enjoying. You can
