PDX Picks June 25th 2008


Friday 27th: Chris Hedges

Bestselling author and Pullitzer Prize-winning journalist Chris Hedges and journalist, Laila Al-Aran spent several months interviewing Iraqi war veterans to expose the patterns of the occupation and how Iraqi civilians are affected. Tonight they're in Powell's reading from, Collateral Damage, the book they compiled from their research. 7pm. Powell's at Cedar Hills Crossing, 3415 SW Cedar Hills Bvd., Beaverton. FREE

Saturday 28th: The Kite Runner

Come join the Faith and Film Group on Saturday June 28th at 7pm as we watch and discuss the film adaptation of the award-winning novel, "The Kite Runner."
